Impact of Donations
Your fundraising supports PCAS programs and services that ensure people with disabilities have access to the resources they need to live healthy lives.
Fundraising Minimums
We don't set minimum amounts for fundraising. But we have learned from our past events that the average amount that a person raises is $500.00. This is a good goal to set for the average fundraiser.
We know our supporters will give their best efforts, and we appreciate what they achieve.
Checks
Checks should be made to PCAS.
If you receive a check payable to your team, write "PCAS" above your team name. If it's made out to you, please endorse the check payable to the PCAS.
Please write your name, event, and year on the memo line of each check (e.g., "John Smith, CDM 2023").
Checks should be mailed no later than 15 days after the event ends on May 8.

Receipts
Online donors receive an e-mail confirmation receipt for tax purposes. Donors who give $250 or more will receive a thank you letter and a receipt by mail.
For donations less than $250, the IRS will accept the following as proof of a charitable donation: a canceled check, bank or credit union statement, or credit card statement.
A matching gift is a gift from a donor's employer that matches the donor's original gift. You can increase your fundraising by asking your donors to apply for matching gifts if their employer offers them.
Matching Gift Basics
Donors must provide their company with the necessary information for matching gifts for their donation. The donor's employer may contact us to confirm the donation, and our team will email confirmation to the donor's company.
We will credit the money to your fundraiser once we receive the matching donation check. Please keep in mind that depending on how regularly firms give out charitable gifts, this process may take some time.
